Winner: Senior Constable Sara Coe (NHW Monash)

We are honoured to award Senior Constable Sara Coe with the Best Police Partnership Activity Award for her outstanding crime prevention work in Monash. As the Monash Crime Prevention Officer, Sara has collaborated closely with Neighbourhood Watch Monash and the Monash Council on initiatives like Safe Plate Days, Coffee with a Cop, and community safety presentations. Sara’s approachable nature, commitment to safety, and innovative projects, such as pop-up clinics and crime prevention workshops, have had a profound impact on reducing crime and enhancing community trust. Her dedication has made Monash a safer place, and we are pleased to recognize her achievements.

Winner: Leading Senior Constable Alison Keppel (NHW Banyule)

We are thrilled to present the Best Police Partnership Activity Award to Leading Senior Constable Alison Keppel, whose commitment to crime prevention and community engagement in Banyule has been exemplary.

Alison has initiated several impactful projects, including the Personal Security Alarms Initiative, where over 3,200 personal alarms were distributed, ensuring community safety, especially for victims of crime. She also launched the Junior Neighbourhood Watch Program in four local primary schools, teaching children about safety and community responsibility.

Another outstanding achievement is the It Takes a Village Program, which provides transportation and support to disadvantaged children, significantly improving their school attendance and engagement. Alison’s involvement in activities like Coffee with a Cop and Safe Plate Days further highlights her dedication to fostering strong police-community partnerships.

Alison’s efforts were recognized when she was named the 3AW Police Person of the Year in 2020, a testament to her role in solving a high-profile murder case.
