The David Lentin Memorial Award is awarded in recognition of the Neighbourhood Watch Group with the most acclaimed program which furthers the aims and objectives of Neighbourhood Watch.

Judging criteria

  • Award nominees must be active Neighbourhood Watch Groups, including Areas, Local Government Area Committees or Divisions.
  • The impact, benefit and effectiveness of the program, project or partnership on Neighbourhood Watch and the local community as outlined by the Neighbourhood Watch aims and objectives.
  • The extent to which the Neighbourhood Watch Group has increased or maintained community participation in the program.
  • The degree of innovation, the demonstrated success of the program, comparison to other existing programs and the points of difference compared with existing programs.
  • The extent to which the innovative practice can be transferred to other Neighbourhood Watch Groups or sectors of the community.
